Shropshire and Ryland sheep provide our high quality wool

Beili Glas blankets are very special and will be your heirlooms to treasure. Our wool is woven in Wales in small batches to our own designs with every attention to detail only using our wool.

We breed pedigree Shropshire and coloured Ryeland sheep and have two colours of natural wool. This gives us huge scope to weave interesting patterns that are completely undyed. When we do dye, we dye using organic dyes and can dye over darker natural colours producing beautiful earthily tonal ranges.

We have three distinct blanket styles...

Our stock pattern is a herringbone weave – both large and small. We also have a honeysuckle weave that nods to the traditional Welsh tapestry blanket but with more subtle colourings and finally, we trim up some in pairs using stunning silks and vintage sari materials, sumptuous velvets and ornate embroidery – these are bespoke and one offs.
